I have never been, so it was quite exciting to see what all the buzz was about for their famed lobster mash, amazing cuts of steak and decadent butter cake. Strangely, I didn't experience any of this, but the dinner was still worth it and totally memorable that I wouldn't mind coming back yearly, or like, whenever.
Girls' Night Out - Dinner & Museum in LA to view the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror exhibit. It was a rough waiting game to secure the tickets, but we were able to secure our spot for the after hours viewing at 8pm on December 23. If you get a chance to see, definitely make time to go! If not, you can view my adventure here :)
I love noodles, but I haven't delved too heavily into ramen until now! The boyfriend has been going through ramen cravings, so whenever he's hit with an insatiable appetite, I'm there for the adventure. We had to run some errands in El Monte, but he wanted to try this spot out.
I've definitely had my eye on this spot for awhile, so when my brother was craving pizza, I knew just the spot to try. We arrived to a packed house on a Friday evening, but decided to wait it out at the bar for an open table. Once seated, we thought we knew what we wanted until we heard the daily special of the day. Read more to see what we got!
sushi is one of my favorite meals and when cravings hit, I had to have it. Although I was unfamiliar with the area, Yelp helped me find my way to Kamon Sushi. I was hungry, so I ordered A LOT of food thinking the sushi would be the standard cut. I was willing to pay anything, so I just ordered up.
I visited Santa Rosa a few weeks ago and felt compelled to share one of the most memorable dinners. It was the last dinner in Healdsburg and the menu is meant to be enjoyed family style. I love these types of dining experiences since you can try a little bit of everything and we literally did just that.
What I love about Cafe Gratitude is the way their menu is set up. Each dish is labeled with empowering verbs so when you order, they make the experience a little more fun. You can order as you normally would or you can add "I am" before naming your dishes of choice. The server then affirms and echoes your selections.
After a weekend spent in San Diego, the drive home left us famished. We arrived to Diamond Bar Plaza for an early dinner and was surprised by how quiet the plaza was. We tried our luck at Zensen Sushi Express and found ourselves seated upon entrance. The revolving sushi bar usually packs a wait, so we were glad to experience the revolving sushi bar as it ramps up for dinner rush.
I've been wanting to try this place since my friend mentioned how phenomenal their Happy Hour deals were. You get half off appetizers, all wines by the glass, select beers on draft AND signature cocktails?! Uhm, yeah!
Plum's Cafe is a definite local grub spot and I'm a bit surprised I have yet to share this with you guys. I usually come through for brunch on weekends and have come across savory to sweets. It's been all good from their salmon hash to their famed Dutch Baby. You just gotta try them!
