It's been awhile since I've posted, but I'm glad to hop back on to share with you some favorites from Stonefire Grill. I was invited to a media tasting a few weeks ago and shared a meal among friends, local bloggers and influencers. It was fun to rediscover some popular items, especially considering it's been a few years since I've eaten here.
Organized by The Orange County Asian & Pacific Island Community Alliance (OCAPICA), Tastemakers of OC took place at the premier destination, SOCO & The OC Mix, and brought together renowned chefs across Orange County to celebrate the heritage and culture of the API community through taste samplings. Although this trip was originally intended for Yelp's Spring Break events throughout the weekend, many steps were taken around San Diego. I walked around 18k steps! From brunch to attending the Yelp Carnival and even hitting the gym, I made the most of my day exploring San Diego. Read more for the goods.
Another one checked off the list for OC Restaurant Week! It's always fun trying some place new, but even more so with friends who are willing to ride the adventure with you. Although Wednesdays are usually reserved for my weekly tradition of wine, the group decided to venture out for dinner instead.
It's that time of the year again friends! The perfect time to try all the restaurants you've heard, seen or bookmarked for the past year with offerings at a solid deal. It's truly a celebrated week of good eats, so kicking off this year, I decided to share one of my favorite spots with my brother and of course, with you!
Although everyone may be all about resolutions for the new year, 2016 is about great beginnings and keeping myself open to new experiences. One of these things is kicking off the year with a wonderful Yelp event earlier this week. It was really fun to pick up those Mondaze feels with an intimate four-course dinner.
The renovation brought more open space with vaulted ceilings in the main dining area and bar, fresh vibrant colors with elements of earthiness are introduced to the interior space and a new menu that will soon roll out to all locations.
This past week, I got the opportunity to join the party with Yelp at Astoria Central Park West. The event was in collaboration with Expo 4 Life to help fundraise Project Access, which Yelp contributed $2000!
This past Tuesday, I got the opportunity to join Yelp's IYE event called Education and Eats at We Olive & Wine Bar located in San Juan Capistrano. Although the drive was bit further south than my usual, it was refreshing to try something new after being bitten by the travel bug.
Although there hasn't been a Spring Break for me since my college days, I will be going on my first international/overseas trip since 2009! It's also the last time I've had a vacation, which is super long ago, but this one by far takes the cake on traveling and possibly, the biggest food adventure yet.
