A Sampling of Flights: Craft Beers

This month's recap will be featuring...craft beers! Very much unintentional, but it so happened that I had a lot to try this month. By the way, I think a growler or bottle would be great as gifts, or just a little something for yourself during the holidays. :)

Barley Forge - Costa Mesa, CA - NEW Read my full review on Yelp!

New brewery opened up in Costa Mesa! With the ribbon cut on November 15th, Barley Forge is slowly working their way on introducing new batches of brews. With a heavy focus on Belgians, both Western and German styles, I can't wait to try their new releases in the coming months! Got a chance to stop in during their soft opening for a flight - $10.

The Bruery - Placentia, CA - NEW Read my full review on Yelp!

I don't understand how I haven't been here sooner. The selection was impressive with nine bourbon barrel aged beers on tap among 40 brews. Tours of the facility are offered and flights (5 tastings) are $9.

Linx - Orange, CA - NEW Read my full review on Yelp!

Artisan Sausage and craft beers. You can't go wrong! I was indecisive on whether I should settle for the bacon wrapped (nostalgia for LA dogs lol) or entrust my meal with a recommendation. I chose the latter and it was good. It would have been awesome with grilled onions, but that's just my preference. The Chicago dawg comes with neon green relish, sport peppers, pickle spear, vine ripe tomatoes, chopped onions, beer mustard and celery salt embraced by a poppy seed roll.

Noble Ale Works - Anaheim, CA - Return Read my full review on Yelp!

This has been my monthly treat ever since I found out about them, possibly six months ago. I love Naughty Sauce and it's always a treat when they have it on tap!

Anthille Pub - Irvine, CA - Return Read my full review on Yelp!

Located on the University of California - Irvine campus, this spot is like a second home, as in, I always run into friends here regardless of the day of the week. I'm not THAT big of an alcoholic..geesh! Get the "stoner" tots, feel free to ask the bartenders for recommendations/tasters (as long as the line is not out the door) and follow them for special tap takeovers. I discovered a lot of new brews here and made some friends along the way.

I'm beginning to realize a lot of my returns are quite extensive, in terms of food haha! Hop on over to my Instagram if you want to get the full details of the dish.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
